While Ogun State is playing host to a whooping 12 private universities, making it the state with the highest private universities, and Edo and Lagos clinching the second position with 4 private universities each, it is not funny to find states in the federation that have no privately owned Universities at all.
States without private universities are predominantly the Northern States including Zamfara, Borno, Sokoto, Kano, Kaduna, Kebbi, Nasarawa, Plateau, Gombe, Bauchi, Yobe and Jigawa.
