F1: Sebastian Vettel wins Singapore Grand Prix as Lewis Hamilton is forced to retire

. . No comments:

Sebastian Vettel has won the Singapore Grand Prix to move ahead of Ayrton Senna's tally of 41 F1 victories.

Lewis Hamilton retired from the race after 33 laps due to an apparent pedal issue, with Nico Rosberg finishing in fourth to reduce Hamilton's lead at the top of the drivers' championship to 41 points.

Red Bull's Danny Ricciardo finished the race in second, with Kimi Raikkonen coming in at third for Ferrari.

Williams driver Felipe Massa and Force India's Nico Hulkenberg dropped out after a pit lane exit collision, while McLaren's Fernando Alonso also ended his race early due to a suspected gearbox failure.

Jenson Button and Pastor Maldonado collided dangerously after 42 laps, with Button's front wing coming close to striking the helmet of Carlos Sainz as a result.

Button, going positively before his collision with Maldonado, then retired in the closing stages due to an overheating gearbox as McLaren finished with a fourth double-retirement of the season.
